Resizing

The ability to convert feedstock into the tube sizes required for product gives us flexibility to react to customers’ needs. Out of 3-5 different feedstock sizes we can produce any tube size up to 640 mm. But let us know your needs as we are always pushing the limits.

Laser Cutting

Our CNC laser cutting capability ensures highly accurate cut out features. This allows for accurate location of inlets and outlets on our complex process tubes. Our expertise allows for repeatable profiles of gas dispersion holes both on round injectors and flat showerheads.

Bench Welding

Welding two pieces of glass together is very similar to the process used to join two pieces of metal via oxyacetylene or TIG welding. A rod of the material being joined (in our case, pure fused quartz) is fed into a liquid weld pool, which in turn is generated by a hand held torch.

Clean for Install

LTD Material offers various types of cleaning for your specific need. LTD is delivering parts used in the most sensitive deposition processes in the fab. These processes require very clean surfaces to avoid particles due to delamination from the quartz surface.

That combined with our reserve capacity allows us to respond quickly to customer’s needs for custom quartz or ceramic products. Hot Lathe

Our thermographically controlled lathes are high technology production machines that allow us to produce a wide range of glass and quartz products by hot forming operations. From tubes or rods, these machines can shape by using any combination of forming, pushing, pulling, blowing, sealing, collapsing or centrifugal operations, providing a very high dimensional accuracy.

Ensuring Surfaces are free of any roughness. Some customer processes require a smooth surface to avoid particle generating surfaces during deposition.

Quality Control

At LTD we recognize that quality products are the output of conscientious producers. Therefore, we strive to move quality reporting to the process step producing the required features to meet our customer needs. This means that we train our production personnel to evaluate the quality of the part before and after they perform their process step. When a non-conformity is found at any stage of the process, a team of stakeholders is assembled to document next steps, root cause and corrective action(s). This activity fuels our continuous improvement process.

Quartz Surface Enhancement

Our proprietary process has given our customers increased MTBM in CVD applications. This surface treatment provides better film adhesion allowing the tools to run longer. Some customers have reported the tool can run 50% longer before delamination occurs and particle defects spike.
